Senior creative + tech roles. Anything that blends visual craft with code and AI.
I'm Álvaro. Twenty years in the craft — the last eight running my own studio, leading teams of up to 8 professionals and delivering projects for international clients across CGI, motion, brand and interactive. Now based in Barcelona, still hands-on with the work and thinking about where this goes next — exploring code, AI tools and whatever helps push an idea further without losing judgment along the way.
Studios, agencies, brands — if you care about visual craft and need someone who leads end to end, let's talk.
From opening Photoshop at 15 to running a studio, shipping internationally, and writing production code. No shortcuts.

Renders + Lab
Food and product 3D rendering for clients in 4 countries. On the side: AI workflows, frontend prototypes, interactive systems. The tech bridge got serious.
New city, new bets
Closed the studio chapter. Went deep into AI workflows and frontend code. Started writing real production CSS — turns out designers can ship.
Koora.studio
Koora landed its first international brand campaign. Germany. Then Norway. Then Mexico. The studio was real.
Lapatzak
Built my own brand end-to-end. Identity, packaging, supply chain, e-commerce. Selling real product to real people — not Dribbble likes.
Koora.studio
Pivoted Koora from a generalist multimedia shop into a focused animation and motion studio. Brought on dedicated 3D artists and structured the pipeline.
Koora.studio
4 years running a CGI and motion studio. Team of 8. Campaigns across 12 countries — Spain, France, Germany, Mexico, US. Learned how to sell expensive work without selling out.
Ludei (remote, San Francisco)
Lead 3D artist for a San Francisco gaming company, working remote from Bilbao. When Ludei shut down, I took the leap and founded Koora.
First client
First paid 3D render — a product shot for a local client, rendered in Maya with V-Ray. Took ten times longer than it should have. The spark that turned a hobby into a career.
MMD Distribution
MMD Distribution, Cork, Ireland. Studied business admin on the side. Learned how companies actually sell things — not how design books say they should.
Self-taught
Opened Photoshop at 15. Had no idea what layers were. Made something terrible. Made it again. Got hooked.
Eight years of Maya and V-Ray. Product rendering, food CGI, motion systems for brand campaigns. I build visual pipelines and keep quality standards high across distributed teams. I know my way around a render farm.
Identity, packaging, product strategy, e-commerce — built end to end for real markets, not just portfolios. Every decision tested where it counts. That's the difference between making things look good and understanding what they're supposed to do.
I build AI-native production workflows using ComfyUI, LLMs and custom tooling. I write frontend code and automate visual processes — not because it's trendy, but because it makes the work better and the timelines tighter.
